Our line up at the 2022 Dijon Grand Prix included two very competitive Chevrons!
June 6, 2022
The 2022 Peter Auto Grand Prix de l'age d'Or at Dijon saw two new cars make their debut with Pursuit Racing. Ted Tuppen turned his first track laps in a 1970 Chevron B16, while Roderick and Patrick Jack were on track in their 1968 Chevron B8. The trio settled into their new cars during practice: Rod and Pat finished P15 and Ted was in the top thirty.
The friends converted decent qualifying positions into race finishes, with Ted coming home P10 overall; a fantastic result from outside the top twenty. Rod and Pat brought the B8 home 12th overall. The Chevrons proved great fun on track and we look forward to racing them at Le Mans at the end of June.
In Sixties Endurance, Harvey Stanley and Jeremy Cottingham were out in the Carreras Colombia Cobra, freshly repaired after its bump at Goodwood. The duo set a strong opening pace, with P2 in free practice, but a pre-race issue saw them start from the back of the grid. With the bit between their teeth, Harvey and Jeremy drove an exceptional race to finish P4 overall, with a fastest lap matching the race winner.
Our next big European event is Le Mans Classic at the end of June, where we are supporting several cars including the amazing 2002 Dallara Team Playstation Oreca car with Judd V10 power and the ex-Ecurie Ecosse 1959 Tojeiro Jaguar.
