Pursuit Racing closed out the 2026 season in the best possible way. Jeremy Cottingham and James Littlejohn won the Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup at Motor Racing Legends’ Silverstone GP in the Shelby Daytona Cobra, after a race that went right down to the wire.

One of two wins this weekend, with our team bringing home a win at Peter Auto Imola Classics too. Plus, a bumper month with victory at Modena Cento Ore earlier in October too.
A fitting finale
The MRL Silverstone GP is the season finale for Motor Racing Legends, a traditional autumn visit to the full Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. The Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup is one of the most compelling grids in historic racing. The previous outing at Donington Historic Festival in May had already produced a thrilling race, and last year’s Silverstone final was decided on the last lap. This year was a rerun. Over two hours of racing, Jeremy and James led home a 36-car field in the Daytona Cobra, which was an upgrade following a third-place finish in the same race a year ago.
The car
The Shelby Daytona Coupe was built to beat Ferrari in GT racing. It was designed with a long, aerodynamic tail built to take on Ferrari at high speed, and the original coupes went on to win their class at Le Mans in 1964 and the 1965 GT World Manufacturers’ Championship for Shelby American. A little more than sixty years later, the Daytona remains one of the most recognisable shapes in motorsport, and it is a joy to see one winning at Silverstone.
Congratulations to Jeremy and James, and the team at Pursuit who kept the car at peak performance this season. Stay tuned for what’s in store for the Daytona Cobra in 2027 and beyond.
