Our clients had several successful seasons under their belts in their existing Lotus Elan but, having faced some reliability issues towards the end of the 2025 season, they decided to go ahead and build their own brand-new Elan with Pursuit.

Following their successful entry into the world of historic motorsport, helped by Pursuit’s ‘Road-to-Race’ program, our clients have spent the last few seasons building up their skills and driving prowess and are now taking on 2026 in a faster and fresher Elan.
Lightweight, beautifully balanced, and endlessly competitive, the Elan remains a benchmark for engineering purity — and this new build has been crafted with exactly that philosophy in mind. From the bare shell onwards, every element of the car is being assembled in-house with period correctness and race reliability at the forefront. Suspension geometry is being meticulously set, the drivetrain prepared to deliver that unmistakable Elan character, and every component refined to ensure the car is ready to perform across a demanding historic calendar.
This car not only solves the reliability issues our clients’ previous Elan was facing, but it’s specified to suit them, featuring high quality brand-new components and even weighing over 70kg less!
This build was not about reinvention — it was about respect. Respect for Colin Chapman’s original vision and for a model that continues to reward precision driving decades after its debut. This Elan takes on 2026 and many seasons to come as a true continuation of a legendary racing lineage and will support these drivers in the next chapter of their racing journey.
