Pursuit Secures Victory as Sixties Endurance 2023 Season Champions

In Pursuit’s three seasons of racing, there have been plenty of podiums, class honours, and overall race wins. Now, at the final event of the 2023 Peter Auto season in Estoril, we secured victory in the Sixties Endurance Championship, arguably the most competitive grid on the historic racing calendar.

October 9, 2023

The season began in March, where Richard and Harvey opened their campaign with a 3rd place at Mugello. Next came a damp and tricky race at Spa Classic and, yet again, the team achieved another podium, finishing 2nd. Third place at Dijon, in June, gave car no72 a dominant championship lead which was maintained when Richard Tuthill joined Richard in the car at Paul Ricard.

The final race of the season, last weekend in Estoril, was far from plain sailing. However, the team rode their luck to finish in 6th and seal a 1st place result for the 2023 season, 10 points ahead of their nearest rivals. Car no72 was Champion!

Without doubt, consistency has been the key to our success. From five starts, we achieved five finishes and, thanks to competitive pace and a lack of mistakes from the drivers, we never finished outside the top 10. As the name "Endurance" suggests, running a 289 Cobra for two hours takes a level of preparation of which Pursuit are truly proud. The whole team, both at the circuits and in the workshop, did an outstanding job.

Thank you to our team, our wonderful drivers, and Peter Auto for making 2023 a special season for Pursuit. May this championship win be the first of many more to come!
