Moments like this are rare. Just a few weeks back in the workshop sat Aston Martin DBR9 chassis 001 and 101 — two cars that bookend the early story of one of Aston Martin Racing’s most successful GT programs.
Both cars are undergoing different degrees of recommissioning, but each will be treated with the care and reverence such significant chassis deserve. From end-to-end inspection to crack testing and in-depth detailing, the focus is on returning them to peak condition while preserving their individual histories.
Seeing these two DBR9s side by side is a powerful reminder of Aston Martin’s return to the global GT stage — and of an era when the DBR9 became a fixture at the front of international GT racing.
